Community Service Project by ASID UCLA Extension Student Chapter

As the Community Service Project Designer & Coordinator I worked along the ASID Student Chapter - UCLA Extension board, to successfully accomplish the 2016 community service project: PATH Gramercy in Los Angeles, a daycare center for children ages 0-5 years old of single mothers.
Because many of their resources are used to address immediate needs and provide services, their communal spaces were in desperate need of refurbishment in order to make them useful, comfortable, and most importantly, safe for children.
After organizing a fundraising event, receiving some generous donations from our sponsors, and spending all of our summer weekends working, we were able to remodel the main community areas: the kitchen and the community lounge.
